Welcome
TRADITIONAL OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE
HOLISTIC MEDICINE,
MANUAL MEDICINE,
NATURAL MEDICINE,
ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE.
Traditional Osteopathic Medicine is a philosophic approach to healthcare that looks inside the patient for the force of healing. Traditional Osteopathic Medicine is Holistic Medicine in that it views an individual as a triune being, body, mind and spirit. If one part is strained all other parts must change in order to compensate. Therefore healing must be integrated in all areas.
Traditional Osteopathic Medicine employs a variety of Manual Medicine techniques that allow us to access the healing potency that is within everyone. Cranial Osteopathy, which is at the center of our practice, is the most comprehensive method with which to apply this philosophy to all parts of the human being.
Traditional Osteopathic Medicine is Natural Medicine. Evaluation of the health in the body is based on an examination of the natural rhythms inherent in the body. By reducing restrictions of these rhythms throughout the body; nerve, blood, and lymph flow is restored and health is allowed to flourish.
Traditional Osteopathic Medicine is Alternative Medicine. It is a health based model of medicine that has been in practice for over one hundred years. Alternatively, western medicine is a disease based model of medicine.
